Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Nourish Education Inc., operating as nourishED ("we", "us" or "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information through our website, inquiries and related service communications. Personal information means information about an identifiable individual, subject to exclusions under applicable privacy law.
Information we collect
When you contact us or complete our inquiry form, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, school or organization, program interests and other details you choose to share. We also receive information contained in your correspondence with us.
We do not collect student records or individual student medical or allergy details as part of our inquiry process. Please do not include sensitive information about students in your message.
Our website currently does not accept payments or process online purchases.
How we use information
We use information to respond to your questions, discuss our programs, arrange requested services, maintain relevant business records and communicate about your inquiry or engagement with nourishED.
We limit collection, use and disclosure to reasonable purposes connected with these activities, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
Consent and promotional communications
When you voluntarily provide information to request a response or service, we use it for that stated purpose. We obtain additional consent where required for other uses.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter. Where we send newsletters or promotional material, we rely on consent or another lawful basis permitted by applicable Canadian law and include a way to unsubscribe. You can also contact us to stop receiving promotional communications.
You may withdraw consent to the handling of your personal information, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain any consequences for a requested service.
Service providers and disclosure
We use Squarespace to host our website and support inquiry forms, and Google for business email. Providers supporting these services may process personal information on our behalf. Information may be processed or stored outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those jurisdictions.
We limit access to people and service providers who need information for their responsibilities. We may also disclose information with your consent or where permitted or required by law.
Cookies and website information
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions and optional analytics. Squarespace may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and interactions with the website.
Our cookie banner lets you accept optional cookies, decline them or manage your choices. We have enabled Squarespace’s setting to restrict its non-essential cookies until you allow them. This setting applies to cookies controlled by Squarespace; third-party websites accessed through external links have their own practices. You can revisit your selection using the Cookie Preferences control on our website.
You can also manage cookies through your browser. Restricting cookies may affect some website features. Essential cookies may remain active to support website operation and remember your privacy choices.
Photographs
We may use photographs of identifiable individuals to share our educational activities on our website, social media or promotional materials, where appropriate permission covers those uses. You can contact nourishED with questions about an image or to request withdrawal of permission. We will explain any applicable limitations and address the request in accordance with applicable law.
Protection and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal or business requirements. Where personal information is used to make a decision directly affecting an individual, we retain it for at least one year as required by B.C. law. When information is no longer needed and retention is not required, we securely destroy it or remove identifying details.
Access and corrections
You may contact nourishED in writing to request access to your personal information or correction of an error or omission. You may also request information about how your personal information has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Please describe your request sufficiently for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.
We respond within applicable legal timelines, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. If we cannot grant all or part of a request, we will explain the reason where required by law.
